2011-2012 Campaign Success

It was another banner year for the AAE Foundation, one for the record books. Over $1.2 million was raised!

It was an exciting campaign. The goal was $1 million for the first time. As guests gathered for the Leadership Donor Reception located in the Marriott Copley Place, there was a calm over the group. They had already reached their goal. Now was the time celebrate in the campaign’s final hour. President Dr. A. Eddy Skidmore announced the amount the live and silent auctions brought in as well as the amount raised by volunteers at the meeting.

CAMPAIGN STATISTICSS:

  • 353 total pledges were secured during the campaign period.  222 from new donors and 131 from increases.
  • 47 donors or 13% of the total donors were graduates since 2000.
  • 60% of Active members; 73% of Educator members and  47% of Resident members have pledged.
  • About 1/4 of donors have increased their pledge.
  • Two states have 100% of voting members pledged.
  • 17 states have 70% or more voting members pledged.

Volunteers are the Foundation’s most valuable resource. There is no more convincing voice for endodontic research and education than your own. Volunteering for the Foundation is rewarding and fun. You will share your enthusiasm with your colleagues and answer any questions they have about the Foundation’s activities. Each volunteer is asked to contact several members of their choosing. Volunteers work in fundraising teams. Coaching and guidance is provided by Foundation Trustees and other experience fundraisers. Several brief conference calls are organized to develop strategy and share information. If you would like to volunteer contact Alyson Hall at ahall@aae.org.

I hope that you will agree to serve. Few organizations can match the generosity that exists within the AAE. This special quality can match the generosity that exists within the AAE. This special quality results from the wonderful success that we have to share. Again, if you are interested in volunteering, please contact Alyson Hall at 800/872-3636 or by email, ahall@aae.org. If you have questions about the Foundation, please don’t hesitate to call; we would be happy to talk to you.

“After all that the AAE Foundation and AAE have done for educators and our entire specialty, how can I just stand by and not give even more to help ensure the future of endodontics? I want to give my time, talent and treasure to make sure that we remain strong and steadfast in a turbulent world!”

On Receiving…

“It is such a distinctive honor to be the recipient of an AAE Foundation research grant. The field of virology in endodontics is still mostly blank, and I believe our project will answer some of the perplexing questions. The Foundation has sponsored a great deal of outstanding research projects. I am committed to live up to the highest expectation of the AAE and fulfill the requirements of the Foundation.”

On Volunteering…

CampMark A. Camp, D.D.S., M.S.
2007-2008 Volunteer

“I believe that by volunteering I can educate others about the importance of the Foundation so that we can control our destiny rather than have other specialties or manufacturers do so.”
