The American Association of Endodontists Foundation named three new members of its Board of Trustees during the AAE’s recent Annual Session in San Antonio, Texas.

Samuel O. Dorn, D.D.S., is professor and chair of the department of endodontics and director of the advanced specialty education program in endodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He is a past president of the AAE, past director of the American Board of Endodontics and past trustee of the AAE Foundation. A Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Dorn earned his D.D.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry and his Certificate in Endodontics from the Nassau County Medical Center in New York. |

Gary R. Hartwell, D.D.S., M.S., is the endodontic program director, chair and a professor at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, N.J. A Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Hartwell currently serves as the vice president of the AAE, a member of the Association’s Scientific Advisory Board and is Board liaison to the Public and Professional Affairs Committee. Dr. Hartwell received his D.D.S. from West Virginia University in 1966, his Certificate in Endodontics from the U.S. Army Dental Corps in 1973 and his M.S. in oral biology from George Washington University in 1974. |

Roberta Pileggi, D.D.S, M.S. is director of the graduate endodontic program and associate professor and chair of the endodontics department at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. A Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Pileggi serves on the AAE Educational Affairs Committee and the Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Pileggi received her D.D.S. from the University Paulista in Brazil. She earned her master’s degree and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery. |
