Clara Spatafore, D.D.S., M.S., was named immediate past president of the American Association of Endodontists during the Association’s recent Annual Session in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Spatafore is a full-time private practitioner in Sewickley, Pa., and also serves as an assistant professor of endodontics at Drexel University’s School of Medicine. A member of the AAE since 1987, she has held a variety of leadership roles with the organization’s Board, including president, president-elect, vice president and secretary of its Executive Committee, and as a district director on the AAE Board of Directors.
Dr. Spatafore, a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, remains very active in the AAE and currently serves as chair and Board liaison to the Constitution and Bylaws Committee, Trustee to the Foundation Board, member of the Journal of Endodontics Scientific Advisory Board and the Corporate Relations Committee, and on several special committees. Previous committees she served on include the Budget and Finance, Continuing Education, Honors and Awards, and Research and Scientific Affairs, and she served on the Journal of Endodontics Editorial Board.
Dr. Spatafore is a member of many other dental associations, including the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Association of Endodontists, the Pennsylvania and Western Pennsylvania Dental Associations, and the American College of Dentistry.
Dr. Spatafore earned her D.D.S., M.S. and Certificate in Endodontics from West Virginia University Dental School. She and her husband, Philip Bartling, reside in Sewickley with their four children.
