Dr. Gerald N. Glickman Becomes Immediate Past President of the AAE

GlickmanGeraldGerald N. Glickman, D.D.S., M.S., M.B.A., J.D., was named immediate past president of the American Association of Endodontists at its recent Annual Session in San Diego, Calif.

Dr. Glickman, professor and chair of the department of endodontics and director of graduate endodontics at Texas A&M/Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, has been a member of the AAE since 1982, and long active in various leadership roles within the organization. He has been a member of its Executive Committee since 2005.

A Diplomate and past president of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Glickman has contributed to a variety of AAE committees, addressing issues ranging from endodontic education to oral disease and systemic health.  

He also has had a long history of leadership with the American Dental Education Association, and serves as a consultant for the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dr. Glickman also holds positions on a number of editorial boards, including the International Endodontic Journal and Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology and Endodontics. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Endodontics.

A Dallas resident, he received a D.D.S. from The Ohio State University; his M.S. and Certificate in Endodontics from Northwestern University; a M.S. in microbiology from the University of Kentucky; a M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University; and a J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University. In addition to his full-time position at Baylor, he maintains a practice limited to endodontics in Richardson, Texas.
