Glenn R. Walters, D.D.S., was elected to the American Association of Endodontists Board of Directors during the organization’s recent Annual Session in San Diego, Calif. Dr. Walters represents AAE District V, comprised of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Puerto Rico, and federal government/public health agencies.
Dr. Walters is an associate professor in the departments of endodontics and general dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he has taught since 1971. He has the distinction of teaching the school’s first endodontic course to undergraduate students.
An AAE member since 1971, Dr. Walters also is an active member of the Texas dental community. He is chair of the Texas section of the American College of Dentists and has held leadership positions in the Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, Southern Endodontic Study Group and the International College of Dentists. In 1997, Dr. Walters was named Texas Dentist of the Year by the Texas Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Walters received his D.D.S. and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. He maintains a private practice limited to endodontics in San Antonio, Texas.
