James C. Kulild, D.D.S., M.S., was named president-elect of the American Association of Endodontists at its recent Annual Session in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Kulild is a professor and director of the advanced specialty education program in endodontics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. An AAE member since 1981, he has served on the organization’s Board of Directors since 2005 as vice president, secretary and District VI director. Dr. Kulild recently served as Board liaison to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Endodontics and various AAE committees, including Research and Scientific Affairs, Evidence-Based Endodontics, Federal Dental Health Services and Educational Affairs. He chaired the Corporate Relations Committee, was a member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Workforce, numerous other special committees, and currently serves on the JOE Scientific Advisory Board.
In addition to serving as president-elect on the AAE Board of Directors, Dr. Kulild was appointed to serve on the AAE Foundation Board of Trustees.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Kulild is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and both the American and International Colleges of Dentists.
A resident of Shawnee, Kan., Dr. Kulild earned his D.D.S. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, his M.S. in oral biology from George Washington University and his Certificate in Endodontics from Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, Wash.
