Terryl A. Propper, D.D.S., M.S., was elected to serve as secretary of the American Association of Endodontists during its 2011 Annual Session Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Propper is the senior partner of a seven doctor, two location endodontic practice in Nashville, Tenn. She has been with Endodontic Associates for 24 years. An AAE member since 1988, Dr. Propper has served the Association in a variety of leadership roles. She has served as chairman of several committees, including the Public and Professional Affairs Committee, the Special Committee on Corporate Relations, general chair of the 2001 Annual Session in New Orleans and program chair of the Annual Session in 2000. Dr. Propper has served on both the AAE Foundation Board of Trustees and the AAE Board of Directors as District IV director. Before becoming an endodontist, Dr. Propper was a 1982 finalist for the ADA Hillenbrand Fellowship and served as the assistant director of marketing for the ADA. She was formerly editor of the ADA marketing newsletter Dynamic Dental Strategies and was recognized by receiving the Golden Apple Award for co-authoring that publication.
Dr. Propper has been a featured speaker on marketing and management at national and regional dental meetings through the years. She received the Tennessee Dental Associations Fellowship Award as well as the Richard Sullivan Award from the Nashville Dental Society. She is a member of the American College of Dentists and has served as President of the Nashville Dental Society. In 2009, Dr. Propper received the AAE President’s Award, recognizing outstanding service to the Association. Dr. Propper received her D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee in 1982 and a Certificate and Masters degree in Endodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1988.
