The AAE’s most recent report on the periodic review of the specialty is now available online and has been approved. The report, submitted to the ADA’s Council on Dental Education and Licensure, is required every 10 years for endodontics to retain its status as a recognized dental specialty. It investigates changes in endodontics over the last decade, including trends in membership, Board certification and education, changes in scope of practice, practice environments and referral patterns, and advancements in research and technology. CDEL's 2011 periodic review feedback report is now available online.
You can also download a PowerPoint® presentation developed to brief endodontists about the overall changes in the specialty over the last decade. The presentation is also a great way to get a snapshot of the pieces of the intricate application you might be interested in.
