We offer heartfelt congratulations to our newest Diplomates.
Achieving Diplomate status requires many years of hard work and deep commitment to professional excellence; it is the ultimate recognition of an individual’s knowledge and expertise in endodontics. Congratulations!
During the 10-year recertification period, the Diplomate must earn 25 credits or 150 CE hours to meet the recertification criteria.
Effective June 1, 2010, Diplomates who achieved Diplomate status prior to 2010 may continue using the current method of using credits (25 required). They also have the option of converting over to using CE hours (150 required).
Attendance at ADA/CERP-approved and international endodontic continuing education courses will be allowed and counted toward the recertification requirement up to an annual maximum of 50 hours or 9 credits. It is expected that the content will have reasonable application to the practice of endodontics.
You may continue to use your current recertification form that tabulates credits, or you may convert to the new form that uses the criteria of CE hours. If you decide to use CE hours for your tabulation, the conversation is based on the formula of 1 earned credit equaling 6 CE hours. The hour method will become the standard for recertification; therefore upon completion of your current recertification period, your next one must be completed using the hour format.
If you achieved Diplomate status on April 12, 2010 or later, recertification is only tabulated by CE hours on an hour for hour basis.
