Grants and Awards

The universe of needs is large enough for all sorts of approaches. Real wisdom is being able to apply the right approach in the right way.”
- Sandra Balaban, Associate, The Goldman Sachs Foundation

Through its grant making, the Foundation seeks to:

  • Inspire and support research and the genesis of new knowledge in endodontics.
  • Promote a positive experience of endodontic therapy for patients and clinicians through funding partnerships or projects that might impact this issue.
  • Increase the number of endodontic educators and facilitate their ability to excel as academicians and foster the retention of faculty.
  • Improve the quality of endodontic education for predoctoral and postgraduate students.
  • Develop new programs for “nontraditional” funding requests that fall outside the current programs.

Board Certification Educator Award

Since 2006, full-time educators who become Board-certified are eligible to receive a $2,000 award. Board certification strengthens faculty and increases professional development and advancement.
