Gerald N. Glickman, D.D.S., M.S., Elected Vice President
CHICAGO — Dr. Gerald N. Glickman, of Dallas, Texas, was elected vice president of the American Association of Endodontists during its 2007 Annual Session, held April 25 - 28 in Philadelphia, Pa.
Dr. Glickman has been actively involved in the activities of the Association for a number of years, serving as AAE treasurer 2005-2007 and participating in the work of various committees, including Educational Affairs, Research and Scientific Affairs, Continuing Education and Applied Strategic Planning. He also played an integral role in planning numerous annual sessions, serving as chair of research/poster presentations from 1995-1997.
In addition to his leadership in the AAE, Dr. Glickman has been a dedicated Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics since 1987. He has provided guidance and support to the specialty’s certifying board as past president (2002-2003) and director (1997-2003). His professional activity extends to several other dental organizations as well, including the American Dental Education Association.
Dr. Glickman is currently professor and chair of the department of endodontics at Texas A&M/Baylor College of Dentistry. He also is the director of the graduate program in endodontics at Baylor.
Dr. Glickman received his D.D.S. degree in 1978 from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry and his M.S. and certificate in endodontics in 1984 from Northwestern University School of Dentistry. He also received an M.S. in microbiology in 1975 from the University of Kentucky, an M.B.A. degree in 1988 from Southern Methodist University and his J.D. degree in 1994 from Texas Wesleyan School of Law. Dr. Glickman resides in Dallas.
The American Association of Endodontists, headquartered in Chicago, represents more than 6,900 members worldwide, including approximately 95 percent of all eligible endodontists in the United States.
