James C. Kulild, D.D.S., M.S., Elected Secretary of the American Association of Endodontists

CHICAGO – Dr. James C. Kulild of Kansas City, Mo., was elected secretary of the American Association of Endodontists during its 2008 Annual Session, held April 9 – 12 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Dr. Kulild has been actively involved in the activities of the Association for a number of years, serving on the Board of Directors from 2005-2008, and participating in the work of numerous committees, including Educational Affairs, Federal Dental Health Services and the General Practitioners Education Workgroup. He also served as a judge for the poster research presentations at the 1992 AAE Annual Session.

In addition to his leadership in the AAE, Dr. Kulild has been a dedicated Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics since 1986.  He served in the U.S. Army as Dean and Commandant, Academy of Health Sciences, U.S. Army Medical Department Center & School, as well as the Senior U.S. Army NATO Medical Officer in Yugoslavia when deployed there in 2001. 

Dr. Kulild is currently a professor and director of the advanced specialty education program in endodontics at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he has served since 2002.

Dr. Kulild received his D.D.S. in 1973 from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry, his M.S. in 1982 from George Washington University, and his certificate in endodontics in 1983 from Madigan Army Medical Center. Dr. Kulild resides with his wife and three children in Shawnee, Mo.
