Pulp Biology Symposium

Pulp Biology Symposium Offers Latest on Contemporary Endodontic Topics

American Association of Endodontists co-sponsors November 2 – 3 event

CHICAGO —Marking a first-ever collaboration between the American Association of Endodontists and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, the associations will offer a two-day symposium presenting the latest research and evidence in vital pulp therapy.

Taking place November 2 – 3, 2007, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago, Ill., more than 500 dental professionals will take part in the meeting under the theme, Emerging Science in Pulp Therapy: New Insights Into Dilemmas and Controversies. The symposium will feature internationally recognized endodontic and pediatric dental clinicians/researchers, including Drs. Lars Bjorndal, Anna Fuks, Alan Milnes, James Coll, Joe Camp, David Witherspoon, Martin Trope and Kenneth Hargreaves.

The experts will cite the “best” evidence for caries management in primary and permanent teeth, and discuss emerging treatment modalities for preserving vital pulps, which will serve as a foundation for future treatment decisions.

“This is an excellent opportunity for the AAE to partner with another dental specialty organization on a topic that is of equal importance to all of us,” said Dr. Gerald N. Glickman, AAE vice president and co-chair for this event. “The fact that the symposium is nearly sold out well in advance shows that attendees are concerned about the well-being of their patients and their teeth.”

One of the intended outcomes of the symposium is to develop  best practices in the management of cariously involved teeth. The use of an audience response system during the meeting will allow attendees to record their personal views on various aspects of pulp therapy and observe the overall results in real time. Proceedings will be summarized and published by the AAE and AAPD following the Symposium.

Registration forms should be printed, completed and faxed to the AAPD headquarters at 312/337-6329. All registrants will receive a mailed confirmation within 10 business days of receipt of the registration. It is highly recommended that hotel or flight arrangements are not made until you have received your registration confirmation. Symposium attendance is limited to 500 attendees.
