American Association of Endodontists Names Robert S. Roda Treasurer
CHICAGO (June 30, 2009) — Robert S. Roda, D.D.S., M.S., was named treasurer of the American Association of Endodontists at its recent 2009 Annual Session in Orlando, Fla.
Dr. Roda is an adjunct assistant professor at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and a visiting lecturer at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa. An AAE member since 1991, Dr. Roda has chaired its Continuing Education Committee and has served as an associate editor of the Journal of Endodontics since 2002. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 1998.
In addition to his leadership in the AAE, he has been president of the Central Arizona Dental Society, and is a member of various other professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Canadian Academy of Endodontics and the Arizona Dental Association, where he serves as the current editor-in-chief of that association's monthly magazine, Inscriptions. In addition, he is an endodontic consultant to the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Roda has published many articles on endodontic topics in professional journals. He gives back to the wider community as a participant in both the dental outreach program of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Scottsdale and the ADA’s Give Kids a Smile program.
Dr. Roda received his D.D.S. from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and his M.S. in Oral Biology and Certificate in Endodontics from Baylor College of Dentistry. He maintains a private practice limited to endodontics in Scottsdale, Ariz.
