Founded in 1966, the Foundation has been investing resources and funding into endodontic education and research, and has recently expanded its mission to include programs focused on public awareness and access to care. The outcome of the Foundation’s work relies both on support from current contributors and on developing new sources for funds that will enable continued growth and excellence within the specialty. In 2016 – 2017, the Foundation raised a total of $1.48 million through support from dedicated trustees, committee members and colleagues in the specialty, as well as endodontists, residents and corporate partners.
The Foundation’s current goals include exploring a capital campaign; attracting new corporate pledges and outside supporters; growing both the number of increased pledges by 5% in 2018 and the number of Freedland Society members to a total of 130 new members by 2020; and increasing the number of first-time donors by 10% annually.
