Despite state-of-the-art advancements in endodontic treatment, Americans still fear the procedure. According to a recent AAE survey, 67 percent of Americans say fear of pain most concerns them about having root canal treatment.
The AAE hopes to dispel these fears during the 10th anniversary celebration of Root Canal Awareness Week, March 27-April 2. Root Canal Awareness Week is a nationwide effort to encourage patients who need a root canal to see an endodontist to save their natural teeth. The AAE offers a Member Planning Guide, including a poster and logos, to help endodontists celebrate in their practices and communities.
Join the root canal conversation in social media by connecting with the AAE on Facebook and Twitter, using the #rootcanal hashtag to help us spread the word, and sharing your Root Canal Awareness Week activities. Tell us how you’re educating patients that root canals aren’t what they used to be!
