AAE educator member Harmeet D. Walia, B.D.S., M.D.S., D.D.S., M.S., passed away on Oct. 17 in Gainesville, Florida.
He was born on April 15, 1957, in Rangoon, Burma. He received his undergraduate degree from Mithibhai College in India and completed his graduate degree from Marquette University. He was a hardworking and accomplished endodontist and earned the prestigious Ralph F. Sommer Award in 2005. He is also known for his significant invention of nickel titanium shape memory alloy for root canal surgery.
