Congratulations to Foundation’s Newest Fellow, Lorel E. Burns, D.D.S., M.S.

The AAE Foundation is pleased to name Lorel E. Burns, D.D.S., M.S., the 2019 Endodontic Educator Fellow! Dr. Burns is an instructor in the Department of Endodontics at the NYU College of Dentistry. The selection committee was impressed with Dr. Burns’ passion for teaching and mentorship. As a dental student in 2012, Dr. Burns founded the NYU College of Dentistry Saturday Academy, a pipeline program for underrepresented minority high school students. The program has been presented nationally and has had outcome data accepted for publication in the Journal of Dental Education. We are excited to see Dr. Burns’ leadership and expertise flourish as an educator Fellow and beyond.
