CHICAGO – The Foundation for Endodontics, the philanthropic arm of the American Association of Endodontics, announced Brasseler U.S.A. Dental, LLC, has pledged $75,000 for one year of Resident Research Grants for 2022.

Under this grant, $500 is available to every endodontic resident to fund activities related to their research on a one-time basis. This grant also makes it possible for residents to receive an additional $500 award once the initial $500 grant has been awarded, used, and reported on.

“Brasseler U.S.A. is committed to removing financial barriers for residents embarking on endodontic research,” said Jack Burlison, Director of Endodontic Professional Relations, “We believe this grant program will be a catalyst for scientific innovation.”

“What makes this grant funding so powerful is its flexibility to support individual residents’ research projects, provide travel to present their research or attend a board review course, and support other research-related activities. We are very grateful to Brasseler U.S.A. Dental for their leadership and generosity,” said Board of Trustee President, John M. Nusstein, D.D.S., M.S.

Program Directors or Department Heads apply for the grant dollars on behalf of their residents. For more information or to apply please visit the Foundation for Endodontics webpage.

About the Foundation for Endodontics

Founded in 1966 as the philanthropic arm of the American Association of Endodontists, the Foundation for Endodontics (a 501(c)3 charity) encourages and raises capital investment necessary to sustain and further develop the specialty. Over the years, both its mission and activities have evolved into four areas: research, education, access to care and development. By focusing on these four concentrations, we assist members of AAE in the pursuit of excellence in their field and further our vision to support endodontists in their efforts to save natural teeth whenever possible. Throughout its fundraising activities, initiatives and strategic planning, we uphold our core values: integrity, accountability, responsiveness, innovative, collaborative and impactful. In 2019, your Foundation for Endodontics has committed over $1.5 million to research, education, and access to care. The Foundation supports every accredited endodontic program in the United States and Canada, and offers funding to educators, residents, and departments.
