In Memoriam: Dr. Joseph I. Tenca

AAE Past President Joseph I. Tenca, D.D.S., M.A., passed away on January 12, 2017, in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Dr. Tenca was 87.

An AAE Life member since 1966, Dr. Tenca earned his D.D.S. from Georgetown University Dental School, and served in the United States Navy for 25 years, where he spent his last four years as chair of the endodontics department and director of graduate education in endodontics at the Navy Graduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland. After his retirement from the military, Dr. Tenca becamechair of the Department of Endodontics at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

Dr. Tenca served as President of the AAE from 1991-1992, and also was Past President of the American Board of Endodontics. He will be greatly missed.
