Insight Track: Stress and Endodontics Special Preview

Dear Endodontic Colleagues,

I am excited to extend an invitation to the upcoming Insight Track: Stress and Endodontics meeting in sunny San Diego! This hybrid meeting will be the first of its kind as we offer both in person and virtual attendance.

Our amazing speakers will focus on the Endodontist from a clinical perspective as well as a personal perspective. We have all faced stress this year from diagnosis of difficult cases, an increased incidence of cracked teeth, and staffing issues. We’ve been flooded with constantly changing recommendations on COVID protocols, and a lot of us have had personal gut checks about our practice choices! This meeting addresses all of those issues as we look to address the stressful situations that endodontists experience.

We start with Dr. Mohamed Fayad addressing the stress we all feel when making difficult diagnoses: which cracked teeth should we save? Then, Dr. Ken Hargreaves will guide us through clinical decision making with an emphasis on vital pulp therapy and the science behind developing a diagnosis. Dr. Ashraf Fouad will then provide an update of COVID protocols that pertain specifically to the endodontic office.

Dr. Marcus Johnson will host a panel of your peers comparing and contrasting the different endodontic practice settings. Have you been thinking of starting your own practice? Joining a corporate office? Please bring your questions as this should be a lively discussion!

We will complete our weekend with a real-world approach to managing not just your practice, but your LIFE. Take your practice from Solopreneur to Entrepreneur with Dr. Sonia Chopra! Learn how to develop systems for your practice that create a healthier work environment and allow you the freedom to enjoy your time away from the office. Rounding out the theme of work-life balance, our final session with Ragan Hartman from Fortune Management will empower you with the skills to hire and lead a team that relieves stress from your workday.

Personally, I am craving in-person interaction and the camaraderie of my colleagues. It is often YOU that I learn the most from, as we discuss our own experiences. There will be opportunities both in person and online for much needed engagement with your colleagues. This meeting is an opportunity to focus on you, the endodontist—not just as a clinician but as a person navigating these stressful times!

See you in San Diego,
