The Guidelines for the Methodology of Cracked Tooth

A new clinical resource, developed by the AAE, is intended to introduce a consistent framework for the study and diagnosis of cracked teeth.

The Guidelines for the Methodology of Cracked Tooth Studies were developed to help institutions, practice-based research networks and practitioners collect and publish important data with regard to the incidence and prevalence of root cracks or fractures in teeth.

The AAE encourages educators and researchers to use the guidelines to move toward standardizing the methodology and data collected across studies to facilitate future meta-analysis of the data from the studies that use this protocol.
