Foundation for Endodontics Announces New Officers, Trustees

The Foundation for Endodontics welcomed new officers and trustees to its Board during the American Association of Endodontists' recent annual meeting in New Orleans. They are:

Fiza SinghFiza Singh, B.D.S., M.M.Sc., D.D.S., Secretary. Dr. Singh earned her D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry and both her Certificate of Endodontics and M.M.Sc. from Harvard University. While in private practice in Boston, Dr. Singh serves on the faculty at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she is a clinical instructor for the Department of Postdoctoral Endodontics. Her specialized training includes oral implantology and oro-facial musculoskeletal pain/TMD disorders.

CouryKirkKirk A, Coury, D.D.S., M.S., F.I.C.D., F.A.C.D., Treasurer. Dr. Coury is a private practicing endodontist in Amarillo, Texas. He received his D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and his Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. A Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Coury's extensive association and organization involvement includes previous service as a Foundation trustee from 2003-2009, current president of the College of Diplomates and past president of the Southwest Society of Endodontists and the Panhandle District Dental Society.

HirschbergCraigWebCraig S. Hirschberg, D.D.S., Trustee. Dr. Hirschberg is the interim chair of the Department of Endodontics at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and director of Rutgers' Advanced Specialty Education Program in Endodontics. Dr. Hirschberg earned his D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry in 1980 and his Certificate in Endodontics from New Jersey Dental School/UMDNJ in 1983. A Board-certified endodontist, Dr. Hirschberg previously served on the AAE Board of Directors. He was the 2013 American Dental Education Association/AAE Foundation Scholar in the ADEA Leadership Institute and serves on ADEA's Legislative Advisory Committee and is member-at-large for the Advisory Board of the ADEA Council of Hospital and Advanced Education Programs. He also serves on The Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations Test Construction Committee and was recently appointed as a site visitor for Advanced Education Programs in Endodontics for the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Dr. Krell

Keith V. Krell, D.D.S., M.S., M.A. As vice president of the AAE Board of Directors, Dr. Krell joins the Foundation for Endodontics Board of Trustees ex officio. Dr. Krell has spent the past 27 years in private practice in West Des Moines, Iowa. He currently serves as an adjunct clinical professor of endodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and served there as the graduate program director until 1989. He retired from the U.S. Army National Guard as a lieutenant colonel in 1993 after 22 years of service. Dr. Krell received his D.D.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Iowa. A Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Krell has held several executive positions, including as past director and president of the American Board of Endodontics and the Foundation for Endodontics. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Endodontics and is a reviewer for JADA.

LaramoreMarkWebMark Laramore, Public Sector. Mr. Laramore is director of Strategic Business Development, Surgical Services at Pacific Dental Services in Irvine, Calif., where he oversees platform development to recruit, retain and integrate dental specialists into company supported owner doctor offices across the country. He handled sales management and operational oversight of companies in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years. Mr. Laramore spent four years in the U.S. Navy, attending the Naval School of Health Sciences, with honorable discharge in 1987.
