Paper Point Intro Letter: September 2022

The AAE’s Resident and New Practitioner Committee hosted the annual APICES program in Chicago last month, welcoming 310 residents from more than 50 endodontic programs from across the U.S. and Canada. It was a great opportunity to host this meeting in a historical Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel, which hosted the first ever endodontic meeting in USA back in 1943.

The weekend boasted an impressive lineup of speakers with topics ranging from Endodontic surgery to new irrigation methods. It is thanks to our generous corporate partners that we can host APICES as a free opportunity to residents year after year. We hope all attendees enjoyed the symposium and found it to be beneficial to the start of their career in the specialty. APICES is a unique opportunity for residents from various institutions to meet face-to-face, begin to form relationships with future colleagues, and to interact with AAE leadership. We thank everyone who was able to join us for participating in such a fulfilling weekend of education and networking. Be sure to check out the photos from the meeting in our Flickr album.

We have already begun planning for another exceptional program in 2023! If you have ideas, specific topics of interest, or a speaker you would love to hear from, please send your thoughts to us at residents@aae.org ort email me at Sadrkhanimoein@ucla.edu.

The Resident and New Practitioner Committee continues to work year-round to meet your needs. As we approach the end of the year, we encourage you to come to us with any recommendations.
