It is with great anguish that we have chosen to cancel our annual meeting, AAE20. While we were very much looking forward to making everlasting endo memories in the vibrant city of Nashville, the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 proved too extreme to take lightly. Ultimately, for the health and safety of all AAE20 participants, this was the right thing to do.<\/p>\r\n

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. In the coming days and weeks, we will consider possibilities for salvaging content from this meeting and will continue to update this FAQ page as information becomes available. For now, we leave you with the simple wish to stay well, and we look forward to seeing you again when the time is right.<\/p>\r\n

AAE20 Cancellation FAQs<\/h2>\r\n

Will my AAE20 conference registration be refunded?<\/h5>\r\n

Yes, your registration fees will be refunded in full, even if you canceled before this decision was made. At this time, there is no action required. Please allow up to 60 days for all refunds to be processed.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

How do I cancel my hotel reservation?<\/h5>\r\n

Hotel reservations booked in the AAE block will be canceled without charge. If you made a reservation outside of the AAE block you will need to cancel that reservation directly with the hotel. If you still intend on traveling to Nashville, please re-book directly with the hotel.<\/p>\r\n

Is AAE refunding flights or other travel costs?<\/h5>\r\n

AAE will not refund individual travel costs. Please check with your airline regarding their current refund policies.<\/p>\r\n

Will AAE20 take place later this year?<\/h5>\r\n

Due to the size and complexity of the meeting, AAE20 will not be rescheduled.<\/p>\r\n

How will I be able to earn CE?<\/h5>\r\n

We also encourage you to reach out to your local chapter for education and networking opportunities close to home.<\/p>\r\n

My organization is scheduled to hold an education session and\/or social event at the conference. How can I go about canceling my vendor orders for audio\/visual, catering, etc.?<\/h5>\r\n

Please contact the hotel representative that you worked with to make your arrangements. They will be able to assist you. If you need help identifying who to contact, please reach out to meetings@aae.org<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

My program submission was accepted to be presented at this year\u2019s conference. Will my session be automatically accepted for next year\u2019s Annual Meeting (AAE21) in Atlanta?<\/h5>\r\n

We deeply regret the challenges that canceling this year’s conference has caused registrants and presenters. It will not be possible to automatically move accepted AAE20 program submissions to AAE21. However, accepted AAE20 submissions can be resubmitted for consideration in the AAE21 review process at aae.org\/submit21<\/a>. The deadline to submit is May 15, 2020.<\/p>\r\n

My Oral, Poster or Table Clinic submission was accepted to be presented at this year\u2019s conference. Will my research presentation be automatically accepted for next year\u2019s AAE Annual Meeting (AAE21) in Atlanta?<\/h5>\r\n

Recognition of your achievement is important to the AAE and the endodontic community. We will contact all award recipients and identify next steps in the coming weeks.<\/p>\r\n

I am nominated to serve on the board of the AAE, ABE or Foundation. When will I begin my term of service?<\/h5>\r\n

The AAE\u2019s General Assembly votes on the slate of officers, directors and trustees for these three organizations. Because the General Assembly will not meet in person, AAE is identifying an alternate method of installing leadership. We will be in touch with you in the coming weeks.<\/p>\r\n
