It also took a toll on dental education and the endodontic post-graduate programs. Educators and students had to adjust to online teaching and learning, which was not an easy transition. The lack of available online content left many program directors forced to create rapidly new online content or use various asynchronous online sources and materials that they never had chance to vet prior. The pandemic exposed several limitations in our current teaching philosophies, and it raises the question of whether we should change or supplement some of those approaches. One of the most pressing concerns facing endodontic educators is determining how to assure competency of graduating residents and maintaining compliance with CODA accreditation standards. In 2014, Dr. Alon completed her Certificate in Endodontics at the Hebrew University, School of Dental Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Alon has been part of the Endodontic department at TUSDM since 2015 and has been teaching in the undergraduate program as well as the post graduate program. In the past year, Dr. Alon has been the director of the Endodontic pre-doctoral program. She has recently graduated from the Faculty IS program and proudly holds a TUSDM DMD diploma.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Alon is a member of the American Association of Endodontics as well as the Massachusetts Association of Endodontics and is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\"><h3><strong>Adham A. He is also the Founder and Chief Editor of Endolit. Dr. Azim earned his BDS from Cairo University, where he also did his endodontic training. He practiced as an Endodontist in Cairo for a few years in several private practices and his own clinic. He then joined the Endodontic Post-Doctoral program at Columbia University, where he was first a resident and then a part-time faculty. Dr. Azim later joined the Endodontic Department at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where he worked as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Azim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He has lectured all over the world and has been awarded several times for his research work including the 1st prize in the American Association of Endodontics research Award Competition (Boston 2012) and 1st prize in the Pan Arab Endodontic Conference (Dubai 2012). He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Endodontics. He is a Diplomate and current director of the American Board of Endodontics and is in the final year of a 4-year term on the Commission on Dental Accreditation. She received her certificate in Endodontics in 2013 after receiving her doctoral (PhD) and DDS at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her practice in Endodontics includes all aspects of modern endodontics. She also lectures at national and international meetings on pain biology and management and regenerative endodontics. She has also been awarded the American Association of Endodontics Educator Fellowship for committing her career to academics. Nikita Ruparel is committed to a long-term career as a clinician-scientist.<\/p>\n<h1>\n\t\tEducational Affairs Committee\n\t<\/h1>\n\t<p>The AAE would like to thank the members of the Educational Affairs Committee for their time and effort in preparing this event. The 2019-2020 EAC met in January 2019, to develop the original in-person program, keeping in mind areas of particular interest to program directors. After the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020-2021 EAC worked diligently to revise and adapt the program for a shortened virtual program, with a focus on dealing with the pandemic.
