{"id":20882,"date":"2022-03-02T09:42:41","date_gmt":"2022-03-02T15:42:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aae.org\/specialty\/?p=20882"},"modified":"2022-03-02T10:42:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-02T16:42:23","slug":"dentists-advised-to-be-on-alert-for-internet-security-risks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aae.org\/specialty\/dentists-advised-to-be-on-alert-for-internet-security-risks\/","title":{"rendered":"Dentists and Staffs Advised to Be on Alert for Internet Security Risks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ada.org\/publications\/ada-news\/2022\/march\/ada-advises-dentists-to-be-on-alert-for-internet-security-risks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The ADA<\/a> and AAE\u00a0 are advising dentists and their practice staffs to be aware of possible internet security related risks after Russia attacked Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisa.gov\/uscert\/ncas\/alerts\/aa22-057a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a news release<\/a> from the U.S. Cybersecurity &amp; Infrastructure Security Agency, cyberattacks \u201care likely to occur and may unintentionally spill over to organizations in other countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Destructive malware can present a direct threat to an organization\u2019s daily operations, impacting the availability of critical assets and data. While there is no specific, credible threat to the United States at this time, all organizations should assess and bolster their cybersecurity.
