We did it!<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Massachusetts voters have passed ballot Question 2, making the state the first in the country to introduce a uniform rule for a \u201cmedical loss ratio\u201d for dental insurance.<\/p>\n<p>The Associated Press called the race , with \u201cYes\u201d at 71.3% of the vote.<\/p>\n<p>This historic passing means that more patient dollars will go to patient care, and it could serve as an impetus to bring widespread change throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>By working at a grassroots level in partnership with the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/send.aae.org\/link.cfm?r=9xkLY1D1zzND4USneeUFJg~~&amp;pe=fUUmXE86PB3v3UzmOXw2WIuq_DxCznprPVEOAy7JxN5Q9tdh2kh-iaUgRSszJdFaKO6AN6oVP7wGAE0wC9o48w~~&amp;t=INSERT_TRACKING_ENCID\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-fontcolor=\"2\">we are so proud to have supported &#8220;Yes on 2 for Dental Care&#8221;!<\/a>\u00a0&#8230; and we know it was this spirited effort that helped bring about such an overwhelming win in Massachusetts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;We thank the voters of Massachusetts and our passionate Massachusetts members, especially District I Directors Drs. Judy McIntyre and Elizabeth S. Perry, who worked tirelessly to engage their communities &#8212; and everyone else who helped inform others of the significance of this ballot question,&#8221; said AAE President Dr. Stefan I. Zweig. &#8220;This is a win for dentistry, and it is an especially big win for patients.
