Becker\u2019s Dental Review<\/a> said, \u201cThe American Society of Health-System Pharmacists reported<\/a> that at least three manufacturers of amoxicillin are experiencing supply shortages.\u201d The \u201cshortages include 14 from Hikma Pharmaceuticals, 18 from Sandoz and 11 from Teva Pharmaceutical Industries in the form of tablets, powder and capsules.\u201d DentistryIQ<\/a>\u00a0reported that \u201cin dentistry, the shortages primarily affect the availability of amoxicillin oral suspension products used for pediatric patients.\u201d In addition to amoxicillin, Axios<\/a>\u00a0reported that \u201cantivirals and pediatric cold and flu medications are hard to find across the country as families deal with back-to-back illnesses spurring secondary effects like childhood ear infections and pneumonia.\u201d The Wall Street Journal<\/a> reported that caregivers and parents are also facing difficulties while trying to find fever reducers.
