His work with the California State Association of Endodontists and the California Dental Associations brought the advancement of this bill to our attention. The bipartisan legislation passed unanimously in the California Legislature, and the AAE exerted considerable advocacy pressure from multiple fronts to support its enactment. Upon learning about the bill, AAE President Natasha Flake promptly sent the Governor an organizational letter of support.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Recognizing the significance of this issue for its California members, the AAE also launched a grassroots letter-writing campaign, enabling members to advocate for the bill&#8217;s passage directly. This grassroots effort, heavily promoted on the AAE&#8217;s social media platforms, raised awareness among membership and the public.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The AAE was concerned over Governor Newsom&#8217;s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ca.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/SB-1369-Veto-Message.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">decision to veto the bill on September 22<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, despite unanimous backing from the California Legislature.
