Dr. Klayman and AAE staff testified during the second meeting of the OSDB\u2019s interested parties process, voicing strong objections to the rule changes that would undermine the integrity of dental specialty advertising in Ohio.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The proposed updates, which stem from legal pressure by the American Association of Implant Dentistry to advertise as specialists in the state, have raised significant concerns across the Ohio dental community. During their testimony, Dr. Klayman and the AAE emphasized that weakening the state\u2019s specialty advertising requirements would allow unqualified specialty boards or organizations with inadequate training to market themselves as specialists\u2014putting patient safety at risk.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In addition to criticizing the content of the proposed rules, the AAE strongly condemned the OSDB for its lack of transparency and bias in the rulemaking process.
