AAE strives to develop position statements that present a comprehensive viewpoint on medical or scientific issues. These statements are developed through a consensus-building approach involving subject matter experts. We make it a point to review and revise them every five years, ensuring they stay up-to-date and relevant. After careful consideration, the members of our Practice Affairs Committee reached a consensus to sunset the following position statements due to their overlapping content with other position statements, outdated information and relevance to the specialty. This proposal was subsequently approved by the Board of Directors in October 2025.<\/p>\n
