Following dental school, he was commissioned as a Captain, United States Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency (Offutt AFB, NE). While practicing dentistry in Okinawa Japan, he also served as Executive Officer, 18th Medical Group. Following 6yrs of service, Dr. Schuurmans received his certificate in Endodontics and M.S. degree from the University of Minnesota and is board-eligible. Memberships: AAE, ADA, MDA, St. Paul District Dental Society. Interests: photography, diving, hiking, biking, snowboarding, and travel. Provides: personalized, evidence-based care via comprehensive evaluation/treatment of endodontic conditions. Research interests (publications): novel dental imaging (Journal of Endodontics).
