Examination Date, Application Deadline, Pearson Vue Registration

Upcoming Test Dates: May 10, 11 and 12, 2022

The ABE Written Exam will be administered at Pearson Vue testing facilities on the following date:

Application Deadline

Please Note:  Applications will be available the week of November 8, 2021.

You must have applications in to the ABE no later than January 7, 2022.  We cannot accept applications after this date.  Once you submit your applications with the ABE, you must then register to sit for the exam directly with Pearson Vue.

Pearson Vue Registration

Pearson Vue Registration for the ABE Written Exam will open on February 15, 2022.  Please be aware that test center registration is done on a first-come-first-serve basis and that centers rapidly fill to capacity. We advise examinees to contact Pearson Vue the day that registration opens.

Portfolios are accepted for review twice a year. Portfolios must be uploaded to the Digital Case History website at amboardendo.org prior to or on the current submission date (listed above) to be included in that examination review cycle. Portfolios uploaded after the current submission date will not be reviewed until the next submission date (provided that the Case History Eligibility period is current).

For the October 2022 ABE Oral Exam:  ABE staff will send out notification via email the week of February 7, 2022 with a link to registration.  We will update the website with the exact date as we get closer to registration being available for this exam.

For candidates concerned about when they will be able to take the oral exam, please note that you can switch tracks and submit your Case History Portfolio as the second stage of the three-part ABE board certification process. There will be no penalty or additional fees to make this switch.  If you would like to switch tracks, please email your track change request to our office at staff@amboardendo.org.
