Re-examination & Re-establishing Eligibility
Re-examination
Candidates are allowed to retake an examination a second time, provided they are still within their eligibility period. If a Candidate wishes to retake an examination, they must pay the examination fee again.
Re-establishment of Board Eligibility
Loss of Board Eligibility occurs for the following reasons:
- A Candidate fails to successfully pass an examination within their eligibility period.
- A Candidate fails an examination for the second time.
- A Candidate fails to pay the annual maintenance fee.
To re-establish Board Eligibility, a new Preliminary Application form and appropriate fees are required. After approval of the application, the Board will declare the individual Board-Eligible. The Board-Eligible Candidate may then begin the Certification process as described in the section on Procedure for Certification.
