Effective October 19, 2022 The American Board of Endodontics has updated the policy for internationally trained endodontists to align with the American Dental Association’s “Requirements for Recognition of National Certifying Boards for Dental Specialists”. The CODA or CDAC approved advanced standing pathway for internationally trained endodontists is the only eligible pathway for board certification.

American Board of Endodontics has decided to modify the Case History Portfolio Exam to a standard grouping of five cases treated and documented by each candidate, rather than 10 cases, as previously required.
