Foundation for Endodontics Providing COVID-19 Relief Grant to Graduating Residents

The Foundation for Endodontics, the philanthropic arm of the American Association of Endodontists, is providing a one-time $500 grant to each resident member of the AAE who is graduating in 2020. The intention of this funding is to help offset the financial impact many are experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide aid to residents transitioning into the field during a significant social and economic shift.

Foundation leadership recognizes graduating residents as the future of endodontics and remains committed to ensuring that future in every way possible. Endodontic residents are leaving their programs and beginning to navigate concerns about the job market and future employment prospects. They are faced with questions of, “Will I graduate on time?”, “Is the job I was counting on still viable?”, and “When I do get to work, what will it look like for me and my patients?” There are many unique challenges ahead for the class of 2020, and as the next generation of endodontic practitioners going out into the world, the Foundation is eager to offer this small token in support of their success.

“The Foundation hopes the COVID-19 Relief Grant will provide reassurance to the newest members of the specialty that the Foundation will support them now and throughout the entirety of their careers thanks to the continued generosity of donors within the endodontic community,” said Foundation President Dr. John M. Nusstein.
