Foundation in the Communiqué
The Foundation has gone through a variety of changes, expansion and growth, but year-over-year, one thing remains the same, the need for contributions of time, talent and treasure to achieve its mission. The meaningful impact of the Foundation’s work is made possible through these contributions.
I was very fortunate last summer to be able to volunteer with the AAE Foundation in the Jamaican Outreach Program in partnership with Christian Dental Services. I’m going to share my experience today, but first a little back story for context.
With 2019 off to a running start, the Foundation for Endodontics is pleased to unveil is international access to care plans for the next 12 months.
As 2018 comes to a close, the Foundation can’t help but reflect on all its successes and good fortune. Thanks to generous donors, the Foundation has been able to provide resources and funding in various forms to support endodontic research, education and access to care.
Groundbreaking research fuels the specialty and gives both established and developing endodontists the tools to achieve excellence in patient care, saving natural teeth whenever possible. Supporting endodontic research with resources and funding is one of the Foundation for Endodontics’ highest priorities.
On October 4, 2018, the Foundation for Endodontics will receive the 2018 Shils Fund Special Recognition Award at the Union League in Philadelphia in honor of its outreach program and support of Project Home. One of only two such awards granted annually by the Shils Entrepreneurial Fund, this exceptional tribute acknowledges the Foundation's efforts to serve low-income patients who might otherwise face tooth extraction.
