Honor the AAE Alliance

Honor the friendships & fundraising of THE AAE ALLIANCE!

MAKE A TRIBUTE GIFT TO THE FOUNDATION FOR ENDODONTICS

For over 50 years, the AAE Alliance brought together spouses and families of endodontics on behalf of the critical missions of the Foundation in supporting the specialty. Its fundraising appeals and events included silent auctions and raffles for items as large as a motor scooter, which contributed more than $400,000 to the Foundation. The group even raffled a quilt to raise funds for a local hospital at an AAE host city. At AAE annual meetings, the Alliance hosted a welcome suite, along with sightseeing tours and other outings which helped build a critical mass of friendships and connections.

“The Alliance gave us all an opportunity to feel a broader purpose than just a name on the door of my husband’s practice,” recollects Shelley Zucker, whose husband Dr Ken Zucker is an AAE president emeritus. “It was a feeling of community. Being part of the Alliance gave us a more in-depth understanding of the profession and a piece of a bigger picture….our own sort of membership in the organization….

My friends would say, ‘oh my gosh do you have to go to a meeting?’ and my response was ‘Oh my gosh I can’t wait to go to the AAE meeting!’ At its core it was all about the friendships created that last, and I’m afraid that’s what being lost, a more in-depth understanding of the profession and a piece of a bigger picture, our own sort of membership in the organization.”

The Foundation is deeply appreciative of the many treasured personal relationships formed along the way as the Alliance brings its activities to a close in its final year. Please join your friends in honoring the work of the Alliance by contributing toward a $25,000 goal to fund the creation of a named AAE Alliance Full-time Educator Development Grant from the Foundation, to be given annually in perpetuity to a full-time endodontic educator to ensure professional development needs are being met. The Educator Development Grants are among the Foundation’s most widely utilized programs. This tribute will be presented at AAE23 in Chicago.

There is no one-size-fits-all contribution —the Foundation would love to help you explore a variety of tax-advantageous charitable giving options.
