Foundation Names 2020 Endodontic Educator Fellow

The Foundation for Endodontics is proud to name Theodore D. Ravenel, D.M.D., the 2020 Endodontic Educator Fellow. Dr. Ravenel is the Post Graduate Endodontic Director at the Medical University of South Carolina. The selection committee was impressed with Dr. Ravenel’s commitment to education and desire to create excellent student experiences at his institution.

After 10 years of service, Dr. Ravenel left his successful private practice in Greenville, South Carolina to support the endodontic department at MUSC. Since then, Dr. Ravenel has assumed increasing responsibilities as the priorities and faculty of the department shifted. All the while, he has remained devoted to student success and engaging instruction.

Dr. Ravenel is especially passionate about spreading awareness and understanding of endodontics among undergraduates and students of other dental specialties. He feels that excellent instruction and practical experience in endodontics will lead to better patient experiences and productive collaboration among dental professionals.

The Foundation is eager to witness Dr. Ravenel’s continuing leadership as an educator fellow and beyond.
