The AAE offers several membership categories to support the diverse professionals who contribute to the specialty. Choose the category below to review eligibility requirements, available benefits and access to the membership application.
Dues Schedule
- The AAE membership dues cycle is July 1 – June 30.
- Applications received July 1–Dec. 31 apply to the full membership year.
- Applications received Jan. 1–April 30 are discounted and apply to the remainder of the year.
- Applications received May 1–June 30 apply to the next membership year beginning July 1.
Active
Annual dues rate: $932 U.S.D. + $50 U.S.D. Application Fee = $982 U.S.D.
A dentist who is qualified to announce as a “specialist in” or “practice limited to” endodontics, according to the American Dental Association Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct.

Active FDHS
Annual dues rate: $466 U.S.D. + $50 U.S.D. Application Fee = $516 U.S.D.
Active members serving in the Federal Dental Health Services (U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Public Health Service and Veterans Administration).

Educator
Annual dues rate: $466 U.S.D. + $50 U.S.D. Application Fee = $516 U.S.D.
A dentist eligible for Active membership who is a full-time educator as defined by the respective university/institution, in a predoctoral department or an advanced specialty education program in endodontics accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or an institution that has a reciprocal agreement with the Commission is eligible for this category.

International
Annual dues rate: $466 U.S.D. + $50 U.S.D. Application Fee = $516 U.S.D.
An endodontist, as defined by their country of residence, who meets the qualifications to be considered an endodontist by the government or recognized endodontic specialty association in the country of residence or receives approval of the AAE Board of Directors, based on educational equivalency.

Associate
Annual dues rate: $480 U.S.D. + $50 U.S.D. Application Fee = $530 U.S.D.
A practicing dentist who has an interest in endodontics but is not educationally qualified as an endodontist; a practicing dentist outside the United States (non-U.S. citizen) who is engaged in the full-time teaching of endodontics or the limited practice of endodontics; or a dentist whose primary concern and activity is in the area of education, administration or research in endodontics.

Resident
Annual dues rate: $95 USD
A dentist enrolled in an advanced specialty education program in endodontics approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, a dentist enrolled in an advanced education program in general dentistry or general practice residency program approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, a foreign graduate who has completed an advanced specialty education program in endodontics but is enrolled in an advanced placement program in a U.S. dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation to obtain a license to practice dentistry/endodontics, or an endodontist who has completed dental and endodontic training in an accredited U.S. dental School and who is enrolled in a full-time advanced education program in a health-related field.

International Resident
Annual dues rate: $95 USD
A dentist enrolled full-time in an advanced specialty education program in endodontics as defined by their country of residence.

Predoctoral Student
Annual dues rate: $95 USD
A predoctoral student enrolled in a dental school accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation who has an interest in endodontics and is not enrolled in an advanced specialty education program in endodontics.

Professional Staff / Professional Staff Group
Annual dues rate: $64 U.S.D. + $25 U.S.D. Application Fee = $89 U.S.D. (per individual application OR per group application)
A dental staff person employed by an endodontist or by a member of the Association.
