Paper Point Editorial – November 2024
Dear Endodontic Residents and New Practitioners,
It is hard to believe that 2024 is nearing an end. As we approach the holiday season, please join me in taking a moment to reflect on all we have to be thankful for.
“An attitude of gratitude brings great things.” -Yogi Bhajan
I would like to extend a huge congratulations to all of you who recently passed the ABE Oral Examination last month in St. Louis. This is a huge milestone in your professional career, and one step closer to earning the title ‘Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics’ – keep it up!
For those of you who are reading this as residents, remember that your time to challenge the written, oral, and case history examinations will be here before you know it. My best advice is that you never have to get ready if you stay ready: self-reflect on every single case, ask all of the questions you can, seek mentorship from your faculty/peers, and apply the things you learn from the endodontic literature to how you take care of patients in the clinical setting.
Our committee is always searching for Residents and New Practitioners who would like to contribute to the Paper Point- we welcome anything from a cool clinical case to your favorite holiday recipe, just like the one shared by Dr. Brandon Barnett in this issue. If you have questions that the RNPC could help you with, want to learn more about ways to get involved with the AAE, or are ready to submit an article to the next edition of The Paper Point, feel free to reach out to me any time at acgdmd@gmail.com.
