Welcome Residents and New Practitioners!

The AAE is two months away from hosting AAE17 in New Orleans, April 26 – 29. We hope you were able to glean some valuable tips and ideas from the January issue of The Paper Point. If you missed it, check out what no resident or new practitioner should miss while attending the meeting in New Orleans!

AAE Connection

To kick off the February issue, we are so pleased to announce AAE’s recent launch of AAE Connection. The membership has spoken and the Association delivered! This online platform was created to address the need for AAE members to connect and network with one another, from the comforts of their office. Read more details below to login. I encourage each of you to make connections and participate in ongoing conversations with your colleagues. The more endodontists engage, the more the conversation and valuable advice will grow.

Legends in Endodontics

Foundation for Endodontics President Dr. Peter A. Morgan opens-up in a candid Q&A, sharing the importance of mentorship for residents and new practitioners. During his 40 plus years in practice, Dr. Morgan has had many opportunities to see the value his mentors added to his career path. Check it out to learn more about this and what he sees for the future of the specialty.

Highlights from the JOE

Check out some highlights from the December, January and February issues of the Journal of Endodontics. Associate Professor at University of Tennessee Health Science Center Dr. Melissa A. Marchesan highlights three articles of interest for you to dig in further.

Case Treatment Plan

Practicing Endodontist, Dr. Mark A. Odom, who operates a practice in Cary, NC, provides a first-hand account of an experience he had with planning patient treatment with a multi-specialty approach. His valuable insight and experience make this article a learning experience. “Having a good relationship with other specialists and being able to coordinate care allowed me to have a well staged treatment plan for this patient resulting in strong, long lasting restorations after a significant trauma,” says Dr. Odom.

For the remainder of 2017, The Paper Point will arrive to your inbox in: April, May, June, August and November. If you’ve missed previous issues, make sure to check them out in The Paper Point Archive.
