AAE Members Spread Joy with #PetsWorthSaving

Since the inception of our Worth Saving campaign, we’ve shone light on a variety of things that, like our natural teeth, are most definitely worth saving – historic landmarks, family heirlooms, and more. But what about the furry friends that occupy our homes, the four-legged family members who’ve changed our lives, the adorable creatures who fill our hearts with unconditional love?

In September, we took to social media to ask our members to share their #PetsWorthSaving – the ones you rescued or adopted or, maybe, the ones who saved you. And wow, you did not disappoint! Our members showed up to show off their pets, and with a heaping paw-ful of creativity, we might add. Let’s meet our members’ furry family!

Kona and Sampson / Dr. Gettleman

This has to be the most distinguished pair of Rhodesian Ridgebacks we’ve ever seen. Look at those crossed paws- so elegant! Kona and Sampson clearly appreciate a sunny lounge day.

Oscar / Dr. Noguera

Not only is Oscar a well-groomed gentleman (seriously- who’s his barber?), he’s also a working man! Dr. Noguera’s pup has been known to comfort patients at her practice, DC Endodontic Center, while they undergo treatment. That’s important work, Oscar; keep it up!

Yuri / Dr. Kickertz

Dr. Kickertz of Premier Endodontics (Charlotte, N.C.) shared a photo of her adorable shorkie Yuri who, as it turns out, has quite the Instagram presence of his own. @yuritheshorkie speaks his mind and has a very supportive following!

Clementine / Dr. Watts

In early September, Afton Endodontics (Concord, N.C.) posted a reel on their Instagram that made our hearts melt: one of their assistants found a kitten stuck in her car engine! The team, with the help of some auto-mechanics, was able to rescue him and Dr. Watts was thrilled to take him home. According to the Instagram stories that followed, she and Clementine bonded in no time!

Yogurt / Dr. Garces

Total Endo (N.J.) joined in on #PetsWorthSaving to share Dr. Garces’ pup Yogurt. Look at that smile! That cherry blossom tree is lucky to have the ever-radiant Yogurt beneath it.

Michael Katz / Dr. Cwyk

We love orange cat shenanigans and Michael Katz is no exception. Dr. Cwyk of Springfield Endodontics (Springfield, Pa.) shared a photo of her and her regal, long-haired best friend. He’s both a distinguished gentleman and a mama’s boy!

Bentley, Apple, Crush / RCT Endodontics

#PetsWorthSaving was a multi-location affair at RCT Endodontics (DMV area), with three doctors from different offices sharing pictures of them and their beloved pets: Dr. Orgel and his dog Bentley, Dr. Jureidini and his dog Apple (how seasonal!), and Dr. Lessing and her dog Crush, pictured with Dr. Lessing’s family. We wonder if Bentley, Apple, and Crush have ever shared a playdate.

Peaches and Oreo / Dr. Effendi

Dr. Effendi adopted her two cats, Peaches and Oreo, just before the height of the pandemic. They were both about six months old. When the world went on lockdown, the three of them bonded deeply and, now that normal life has resumed, they’re still as close as ever!

Nala and Calvin / Dr. Jiorle

Saving teeth is hard work. It’s important to get some rest in between appointments, and who better to nap with than Nala and Calvin? Dr. Jiorle of Painless Root Canal Specialists (Washington D.C.) has the right idea. We don’t know who looks more comfortable – the doc or his kitties. Either way, they’re absolutely precious!
