AAE Past President Dr. Stefan Zweig Celebrates Save Your Tooth Month in Chicago

AAE Past President Dr. Stefan Zweig was certainly busy when he visited Chicago ahead of AAE23. On April 27, he appeared on two of Chicago’s WGN-TV programs—Daytime Chicago and WGN’s Morning News—to kick off the May celebration of Save Your Tooth Month and explain the importance of saving your natural teeth.

“It’s all about making the public aware about what endodontists do,” Dr. Zweig emphasized. “They have a lot more expertise and do [root canals] very comfortably, very quickly, and with a high degree of success.”

Dr. Zweig’s media appearances were a ramp up to AAE23, the association’s annual meeting that took place in Chicago the first week of May. They were also a bittersweet farewell to Dr. Zweig as AAE president. He assumed the role of immediate past president at AAE23 as he passed the gavel to Dr. Craig S. Hirschberg for the 2023-2024 presidential year.

The WGN-TV appearances are just two of 58 interviews Dr. Zweig did over the course of his presidency, a record number among AAE presidents! Those individual interviews were run by 2,461 outlets, generating over 200 million impressions—an unprecedented feat accomplished by Dr. Zweig and AAE’s marketing and communications team.
