AAE17 Recap

Have you heard? AAE17 in New Orleans set a new record!

There were more than 4,000 attendees (including exhibitors) in attendance for the four full days of endodontic education, networking and the industry exhibit hall. World-class speakers provided lectures, workshops and opportunities for learning. Following a record breaking meeting in San Francisco in 2016, the AAE is even more thrilled to announce that AAE17 was the AAE’s largest annual meeting to date!

Oral and Poster Research and Table Clinic Presentations

AAE17 featured 247 oral and poster research and table clinics, of which 175 were resident presentations. These scientific research presentations showcased a wide variety of research interests in the field of endodontics. Check out the top 10 scoring presentations in each of the three categories.

Resident and New Practitioner Career Fair

In line with the record breaking attendance at AAE17, the RNPC Career Fair also broke a record. A total of 50 employers registered to participate in the Career Fair, aimed specifically at connecting young endodontists with hiring employers in the field!

The Career Fair is an annual event and is a fantastic opportunity for both job seekers and potential employers from across the country to meet, network and have fundamental conversations about their careers. It allowed residents and new practitioners to:

• Make initial contact with potential employers.
• Visit one-on-one and learn about the candidates in the field.
• Receive a list of all employers and their contact information.

Resident Reception

After a long week in the convention center dedicated to education, the annual Resident Reception was one of the final events on Friday at AAE17. Thanks to the sponsors, Treloar & Heisel and MedPro, the event was held offsite at Fulton’s Alley with drinks, eats and bowling! The event was a welcomed time to unwind and mingle with residents and colleagues from across the country. The event was a great precursor to the evening event Celebrate New Orleans! complete with a second line!
