Paper Point Editorial – November 2023

Dear Endodontic Residents and New Practitioners,

It is hard to believe that 2023 is nearing an end. As we approach the holiday season, please join me in taking a moment to reflect on all we have to be thankful for.

An attitude of gratitude brings great things.” -Yogi Bhajan

I would like to extend a huge congratulations to all of you who recently passed the ABE Oral Examination and/or Case History Examination. Pursuing Board certification is such a worthy cause, and I commend your dedication to reaching the pinnacle of our profession. I look forward to celebrating together with many of you at the Grossman Ceremony in Los Angeles.

The Resident and New Practitioner Committee (RNPC) is working hard to plan out a great 2024 for us all including our annual March Madness bracket challenge: “MTA Madness”, the Resident Reception and Career Fair at AAE24, and an exciting APICES resident meeting in August. If you would like to contribute to The Paper Point we are always looking for new voices. We welcome anything from a cool clinical case to even your favorite family recipe.

If you have any idea that you would like the RNPC to bring to life, questions about the transition from residency to the real world, want to learn more about getting involved with the AAE, or are ready to submit an article to the next edition of The Paper Point, feel free to reach out to me any time at acgdmd@gmail.com.

No matter where you are headed, remember to lead with kindness.

Austyn C. Grissom
