AAE Educators and Staff Attend ADEA Summit on Advanced Dental Education Meeting
Last month, AAE Educators and staff represented the AAE at the Summit on Advanced Dental Education meeting, hosted by the ADEA Council of Advanced Education Programs (ADEA COAEP) in St. Louis, Missouri. The summit is designed for both emerging leaders in postgraduate dental education and senior faculty. Several AAE members hold volunteer leadership roles on the Endodontic Section and the Council on Advanced Education Programs, including Drs. Susan Paurazas, Yaara Berdan, Roberta Pileggi, and Natasha Flake. The two-day summit featured speakers and interactive sessions dedicated to resident selection, management and assessment. It was wonderful to see endodontic educator voices heard in such an important conference, where participants worked toward creating a framework of best practices to help educators navigate through the resident lifecycle.
ADEA is the sole national organization representing dental education, and its meeting offers educational, networking and development opportunities to all dental educators. These groups are integral to achieving common goals towards improving endodontic education at both the predoc and postdoc levels.
