The Communiqué is distributed monthly via email to AAE members and supporters.

Its mission is to promote communication among AAE members, leaders of the AAE, ABE and AAE Foundation, and AAE affiliate organizations; encourage coordinated activities; inform the membership of developments in the endodontic specialty and dental profession; and raise awareness of AAE events, products and services.

Fighting for Dentistry: ADA 2015-2016 Lobbying Accomplishments

President’s Message: Swan Song

I am at the end. the end of my year as president of the AAE.

It has been a challenging year, but a rewarding one. My mantra has been “onward and upward,” a battle cry adopted as we transitioned from an exiting executive director to our acting executive director, Ms, Trina R. Andresen Coe. I have called on our staff and Board of Directors to move forward with focused determination, pride and strength. And soon, we will do so under a new executive director, Mr. Kenneth J. Widelka, who will bring energy and leadership to the AAE.

Medicare Part D: Opt-In/Opt-Out Deadline Extended to February 2017

Healthcare providers can breathe a little easier, as the federal government has once again delayed until February 2017 the requirements that all providers who prescribe under Medicare Part D either “opt in” or “opt out” of Medicare. The “opt in/opt out” requirement has been in effect for other Medicare services since July 2015.
