Alan S. Law, D.D.S., Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Alan S. Law currently teaches continuing education courses at the University of Minnesota. He is a director for the American Board of Endodontics and past chair of the AAE Regenerative Endodontics Committee. He has published several articles in scientific and clinical journals in addition to co-authoring two chapters in the upcoming edition of Pathways of the Pulp.

Throughout his career, he has been active in numerous dental organizations. He is a past president of the Minnesota Association of Endodontists and former AAE District V director. He is also a member the American Dental Association and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in Iowa City, Iowa. He also completed his Ph.D. on “Mechanisms and Modulation of Orofacial Pain,” with the department of pharmacology at Iowa.

  • Regenerative Endodontics
    Topic:

    In 2008, the AAE established the Regeneration/Revascularization Database. The data gathered via the database will help to establish a “best practice” for treatment of and future research on the incompletely developed tooth with a necrotic pulp. This presentation will include information from the database and discuss the implications for future research and clinical practice.

    Three-hour lecture.
